Memorial Obituary

Mrs. A. J. Buschkoetter

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Ros Buschkoetter, Thursday
morning, Nov. 14, 1974 at 10:00 o'clock at Sacred Heart Church,
Lawrence, Nebraska. The concelebrated Mass was offered by Father John
Kelly and Father Edwin Stander. The Resurrection and graveside
services were conducted by Father John Kelly. Burial was made at
Sacred Heart Cemetery at Lawrence, Nebraska.

Pallbearers were eight grandsons, larry Hoelting, Lyle Menke, Ronald
Buescher, Kenneth Rempe, Dale Rempe, Terry Buschkoetter, Roger
Buschkoetter, Darrell Buschkoetter.

Alter boys were two grandsons of the deceased, Randy and Jerry
Buschkoetter adn Tim Kohmetscher, Frank Kohmetscher and Jim Theer.

Father Edwin Stander was lector at the Mass; Mr. Tom Dolnicek, song
leader; Sister Herman Joseph, organist.

Rose M. Blume, daughter of August and Theresa Blume, was born February
21, 1899 at Schnellville, Ind. and died at her home in Lawrence Nov.
11, 1974 at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 18 days.

In 1902, she moved with her family to Nebraska. In 1916 due to the
illness of her father the family moved to Texas. On Jan.9, 1917 at
St. Francis, Texas, she was united in marriage to Anton J.
Buschkoetter. Their married life was spent on a farm northwest of
Lawrence, until 1955 when they moved to their present home in
Lawrence. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January
8, 1967.

Her life was well spent on the interest of her family, friends and
church. Her daily attendance at Mass was an inspiration to everyone.

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, giving herself
unreservedly to the care of her home and loved ones. Many hours were
spent in her yard and gardening caring for her flowers, many of which
were shared with friends and especially the church.

She was an active member of th Sacred Heart Alter Society, Catholic
Order of Foresters and American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Anton; five daughters, Mrs. Irene
Hoelting, Deweese; Mrs. Verena Buescher, Mrs. Marcella Manke, Mrs.
LaVeta Rempe, all of Lawrence and Mrs. Lucille Rempe of Milligan;
three sons, Leonard and LeRoy, both of Lawrence and Robert of
Indianola; 38 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchilder; a sister, Mrs.
Minnie Venhaus. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters
Mrs. Gertrude Reining, Mrs. Elizabeth Reining, Mrs. Anna Gable and
brothers, Emil Blume, Therodore Blume and twin brother, John Blume.

Sponsors were Anthony Kordes and Maria Theresia Strattman.
