In the 1860 Federal Census for Hall Township (family 242), Dubois
County, Indiana, Gertrude's name was reported as Catherine Meier, born
1840 from Hilcieka, Hannover. In the 1880 Federal Census for Hall
Township (family 245), it was Gertrude under the record for Casper
Blume. Also, For the baptism of Elisabeth Gertrude Blume, daughter of
August and Theresa (Kordes) Blume, the sponsors were Elisabeth
Gertrude and Casper Gerhard Blume. This leads me to think that
Gertrude's Baptism name included the three names, Elisabeth Gertrude
Catherine Meier (Meyer). One of Casper's middle names must have been
Gerhard.
